Hacia una agricultura sostenible: El uso de Bacillus spp. como bioestimulante

Resumen

En México, la dependencia a fertilizantes y plaguicidas químicos ocasiona afectaciones ambientales y a la salud humana. Los bioestimulantes bacterianos, como Bacillus spp., representan una alternativa para reducir el impacto ambiental y promover la seguridad alimentaria. Estos bioestimulantes pueden mejorar la nutrición y el crecimiento vegetal. La presente revisión se centra en el uso de Bacillus spp. como bioestimulante, especialmente B. velezensis, y en su potencial para promover el crecimiento, además de la resistencia a estrés biótico y abiótico en cultivos, lo cual puede contribuir a una agricultura sostenible.
