Efecto de la aplicación de acibenzolar-S-metil y aceite agrícola en plántulas de banano
Aplicación en plántulas de banano

Panama disease or Fusarium wilt in bananas represents one of the most destructive and economically important diseases in Musa. Currently, there is no sustainable chemical control for this disease. However, there is general consensus that the only effective way to control this pathogenicity is through the application of systemic resistance inducers. The present work was aimed at determining the effect of the application of acibenzolar-S-methyl and agricultural oil on seedlings of the cultivar Gros Michel, inoculated with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense race 1. Different application doses of the inducer product were tested on banana seedlings. At 5 days after application, symptoms of phytotoxicity were observed in the different doses tested. The agricultural oil used to prepare the inducer product mixture was shown to cause phytotoxicity in banana seedlings.
